Patient Registration Representative
Shift: Varied Shifts
Performs various routine clerical, administrative and general office duties. Should be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Medical terminology is preferred. Excellent customer service skills is a must. Receives and performs data entry of patient demographics and insurance information associated with the pre-registration process for patients scheduled for admission, pre-admission, and outpatient department services. Reviews insurance benefits with patients, collects payments and ensures accurate and complete documentation of all required information. Manages transfers and discharges.
High School Diploma required with 1-2 years of face to face medical office setting or billing experience preferred.
CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS
