The Director, in compliance with the Wellmont Madison House by-laws has the responsibility and authority for the operations of the Madison House assisted living residence, adult day services, and overnight respite care. The Director incorporates the Wellmont Health System Vision as integral part of the Madison House’s Vision and Mission. In addition, the Director works closely with the Madison House Board of Directors, attends scheduled board meetings and assists board team leaders. Routine responsibilities include: educating, training, and supervising the managers of the assisted living residence and adult day care center, and monitoring and complying with state regulations for assisted living and adult day care. Completes a yearly plan for the fiscal year budget, reviews and annually updates policies and procedures, job descriptions, etc. Is active advocating in the community for senior issues, and promotes Madison House to community organizations and civic clubs. Job duties include doing presentations, seminars to seniors, civic clubs, caregivers, physicians, and other professional people. Other responsibilities are working with residents that could be confused and hostile at times and working evening, nights, or week-ends. Prepare care plans for ALR/ADC, assist with admissions, staff hires, disciplines, evaluations, prepare MARS,laundry/shower schedule, chart audits, update forms and monthly reports.
Minimum 1-2 years in management in healthcare, preferably in assisted living setting or nursing home. Active license in TN as an Assisted living administrator. RN/LPN license preferred but will consider other qualified candidates.
Home for the Aged Assisted Care Living Facility Administrator. Bachelors degree preferred.
CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
