Washington County Johnson City EMS (WC/JC EMS) is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Convalescent
Division Supervisor (Lieutenant). WC/JC EMS is a
progressive Advance Life Support Service serving a combined
urban and rural population of 125,546.
WC/JC EMS provides excellence in pre-hospital care through a two-tiered response
system. Non-emergency needs of our community are handled
through the convalescent division consisting of 2 ALS and 3 BLS
transport units and a dispatch center.
The convalescent division serves the non--emergency transport needs of our community
and local health partners and includes local and out of town
transports, ventilator transports, and critical care.
The convalescent division also serves the Mountain Home VA through
contracted services. The Convalescent Division Lieutenant oversees all daily operations of the division, a field staff of 10 uniformed personnel and
directly supervises the three dispatchers/call takers.
The Lieutenant is also assigned to a convalescent ambulance.

Starting pay: $40,000 for A-EMT or $45,000 for Paramedic
Five (5) years of EMS experience required.
Must possess a cur- rent Tennessee state Advanced EMT or paramedic license, current state driver's license (Class D with F endorsement), must obtain a thorough knowledge of EMS policies and regulations. National Incident Management System ICS 100, 200, 700 and
800 course certifications. Equivalent combinations of education
