This position include all phases of cleaning and special techniques in the scope of institutional housekeeping; incumbent must select and prepare for use industrial cleaning supplies. Incumbent will use equipment such as battery-powered scrubbing machines, polishers, vacuums, shampoo machines, pressure washers and perform all phases of cleaning such as:
Stripping / re-finish floors
Window and wall washing
Furniture cleaning and arrangement
Collection and removal of trash or waste
Hanging curtains or draperies
Work schedule: Compressed / Flexible Schedule; Possible tours include: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, 6:45 am - 3:30 pm, 11:30 am - 8:00 pm, 3:30 pm - Midnight, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm and 10 hour shift 3:30 pm - 2:00 am Friday - Monday. Incumbent may be required to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: The position requires performance of work which involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; continually standing, bending, stooping and reaching, frequently lifting and emptying waste baskets; frequently pushing carts loaded with waste and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Also, performs work which involves moderate to heavy physical effort, such as required to move heavy equipment and furniture, i.e., heavy industrial vacuum cleaners, heavy duty floor scrubber and buffers, couches, beds and lifting, carrying and/or moving items weighing up to 40/50 pounds.
