ETSU has initiated the nationally renowned Nurse Family Partnership Program in the eight counties of Northeast Tennessee. The Nurse Home Visitor position requires energetic and self-motivated BSN/.N.S who have a desire to help low-income women with their first pregnancy and child rearing challenges. The positions require home visits to women during pregnancy and after the birth of the child, up to two years of age. The Nurse Home Visitors will be involved in recruitment of pregnant women; with a maximum caseload of 25. Travel is required and must be able to work flexible schedules (some evenings and weekends). Nurses will occasionally work in teams of two, usually covering two or more counties, and under the supervision of a Nurse Director located in the College of Nursing at ETSU. Qualifications: BSN and current R.N. Licensure in Tennessee. Valid Driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance are required. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two years recent experience in one or more of the following programs: public health, visiting nurse, maternal/child health. Fluency in Spanish is preferred and qualified nurses with adequate fluency in Spanish will receive additional pay. CRP Certification is preferred.
