Radiologic Technologists work under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manger, Diagnostic Lead Technologist, Medical Imaging Administrative Personnel and Radiologist. Radiologic Technologists are to be able to perform routine diagnostic procedures as necessary in the daily operational objectives of the Medical Imaging Department of Wellmont Health System as set forth by hospital guidelines and policies, the radiology medical staff and radiology administrative personnel.
Successful completion of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Valid and/or updated registry/certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) preferred.
A.R.R.T. State License
CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS
