College of Medicine Faculty. Position Contingent upon
outside funding. Academic General Pediatrician for Northeast Tennessee
East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Department of
Pediatrics and Medical Education Assistance Corporation
(MEAC) seek a qualified Academic General Pediatric
physician. The candidate must have a minimum of one year
of academic experience and a minimum of one year of rural
community experience at time of hire as well as be board
certified in general pediatrics. The position will be an ETSU
non-tenure, clinical track faculty appointment contingent on
external funding. Responsibilities include delivery of primary
care to a diverse population of pediatric patients, coverage of
the newborn nursery and teaching of medical students and
pediatric residents, as well as other academic pursuits.
We provide care to a large geographic region that includes north-
east Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Southern West Virginia,
Eastern Kentucky and Western North Carolina.
Medical license at time of hire.
Certification of general pediatric boards at time of hire
and maintenance thereafter.
