Local company seeking to hire a Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor for first shift.
Seeking an experienced, data driven hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate, manage and lead the maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinery, as well as facility systems.
This position will lead a team of maintenance technicians responsible for preventative maintenance, real-time problem-solving following a strategic plan to continually increase production uptime.
Duties/ Responsibilities: Manages the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
Responsible for implementing and maintaining work request/work order system for the facility across maintenance and production teams
Responsible for overall maintenance systems within the facility, which include predictive & preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment
Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
Lead or facilitate the development and implementation of various continuous improvement projects or processes that improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
Develops maintenance procedures and schedules
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
Ensures all safety PPE, lockout tag procedures are followed
Develops and implements PM schedules for company equipment, facility and grounds as required.
Ensures all quality procedures, objectives as applicable are performed/followed as required
Demonstrated knowledge of plant electrical and mechanical equipment, operations and predictive/preventative maintenance systems
Ability to evaluate the job performance and skills of maintenance personnel
Knowledge of the correct application of systems and processes that ensure continuous improvement (safety, environmental, maintenance, quality and manufacturing)
Knowledge of manufacturing process and improvement process
Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements
Effective leadership, supervisory, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to implement change Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience: An Associate degree and a minimum of five years of manufacturing maintenance experience in a supervisory role.
