Supply Chain Procurement Specialist III

- The Procurement Specialist III will possess an advanced analytical skill set and have considerable experience in spend/cost analytics. The procurement specialist III must have expertise of supply chain contracting activities and will be responsible for maintaining a competitive contract portfolio by assisting with the timely collection, analysis and distribution of procurement data to enable the organization to gain and sustain a competitive edge in the industry. Manages contract compliance by analyzing GPO and local contracts for standardization, utilization, and cost savings opportunities with key stakeholders. Identification and communication of non-contract spend, tier conversions, contract revisions along with the finical impact to the organization is expected. Development of new contracts and new price activations as needs are identified along with timely communication of all contract renewal notices. The procurement specialist III will manage, track and allocate supplier rebates. The procurement specialist III must have the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and work with minimal supervision. College Degree (i.e., bachelor’s degree); plus, either a healthcare industry supply chain certification or a master’s degree (in business, logistics, finance, information technology, or logistics). A minimum of 7 years of relevant supply chain experience is required. A comprehensive knowledge of supply chain, inventory control, purchasing, and information systems is required. A familiarization with Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) or similar EDI value-added networks is required. High competence in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Access) is expected. Lawson experience is mandatory.
