Oversees and directs the activities of food services employees engaged in the service and delivery of patient, cafeteria and catering meals. In so doing , the supervisor assigns work duties to staff members and ensures that employees adheres to standards of production, safety, sanitation, and infection control. Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Responsible for scheduling and task assignments of food services department or specific area.
Possess a High School Diploma or Equivalency Exam Certificate; food services experience and supervisory experience required. Formal food services education preferred but not required.
BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
