Schedule: Full Time
- Provides strategic direction for donor collection and recruitment efforts of assigned teams to ensure achievement of blood collection and operational objectives to maintain and exceed collection volumes. Works with department and regional leadership, plans overall recruitment methodology for assigned territory/team to assure effective donor group and volunteer development and coordinator support with input from recruitment staff, participating coordinators, and management members. Ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of collection programs designed to meet particular needs (e.g., blood type distribution, holidays, etc.) ensuring the availability of blood products. Develops and oversees adherence to annual recruitment budget and marketing plan to ensure sufficiency and efficient utilization of financial resources to achieve collection goals and effective allocation of marketing resources. Responsible for the oversight of training and certification of new hires by utilizing demonstration, observation, and performance methods. Directs staff to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, FDA, CLIA and AABB regulations. Develops, implements and monitors process improvement/quality improvement initiatives and staff training protocols. Monitors, evaluates and corrects blood donor flow and customer service problems to improve donor satisfaction and contribute to achievement of organization goals. College degree required. Masters preferred. 1-3 years management experience preferred. Experience in blood donor recruiting a plus. INDCORP BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
